![]() It is intended that you walk over an item if you hold the movement key down, as the game assumes you want to keep moving and not spend a turn collecting the item. Sorry that the default movement delay is too sensetive for you, I hope it works better with the adjusted delay. The snake's examine text, and your guidebook, both contains some info about surprise attacking. Snakes have very high evasion, you need to use a surprise attack to defeat them consistently. Read the guidebook page that was on the floor in that room, it explains how to use the search function to find secrets. That sealed room on floor 2 is a bit of tutorialziation actually. Hallways are very effecting at turning a 5v1 into five sucessive 1v1 fights. The game does try to spread enemies out a bit, but they can still group up, especially in large rooms. It improved by lowering the setting but, should it have skipped the pickup when walking 2 tiles in the first place? With the default key repeat the character move 2 tiles half the time and seems to jump over items instead of picking them, this happens even if I just graze the key. Very harsh first level experience I must say. Restarted and then a single snake dodged like 10 consecutive times in a row, while mowing me down and killed me. ![]() Second run the only stair down was to a sealed room, no way to progress.
